Why coffee

The fundraiser people were going to buy anyway.

Chocolate drives sell once, need volunteers, and sit in a box going off. Coffee is a daily habit people repeat every week. Your supporters already buy it. Now they can buy it from you, and fund the cause with money they were already spending.

How it works

Live in days. Hands-off forever.

1

Apply

Tell us about your group. We check your ABN in seconds. Registered charities are verified instantly, no paperwork.

2

We build it, free

You get a branded coffee store in your group's name, stocked with award-winning coffee. We waive the setup fee and the monthly plan.

3

Share it

Send it to your supporters with the launch kit we hand you: ready-made emails, social tiles and a QR poster.

4

They buy, you keep it

Numero Uno roasts and ships every order direct to the supporter in your branding. You keep the margin. You never touch stock.

What you keep

Every dollar of margin goes to your cause.

We make nothing on the platform. Our only cost to you is the wholesale coffee, taken from each sale. Here is a typical bag.

The real unlock: a supporter who subscribes to a monthly delivery becomes a recurring monthly donor, without ever calling it a donation. They just get their coffee.

Supporter pays (1kg bag)$70.00
Wholesale coffee (paid on sale)–$37.00
Platform fee$0.00
Your cause keeps$33.00

Illustrative. Shipping is paid by the supporter at checkout. Actual margin depends on the coffee and your retail price.

Questions

The honest answers.

Who is eligible?

Charities, schools and not-for-profit community groups are all welcome: registered charities, school groups like P&Cs and P&Fs, sports and community clubs, and incorporated associations. If you are a registered charity, we confirm it instantly from your ABN with no paperwork. For other community groups, we confirm your ABN and have a quick chat to get you set up.

How do we actually get the money?

Payments settle to your group's own account. You are the merchant of record on every sale, so the proceeds are yours from the moment a supporter checks out. The wholesale cost of the coffee is taken automatically from each order.

What does it cost us to start?

Nothing. YourBeans sponsors the setup fee and the monthly plan for eligible groups, and waives the platform fee entirely. Your only cost is the wholesale coffee, and only when something sells.

Do we have to store or post anything?

No. Every order is roasted to order by Numero Uno and shipped direct to your supporter in your group's branding. You never handle stock, packing or postage.

How is the coffee, really?

It is roasted by Numero Uno, Sydney's most awarded specialty coffee roastery, established 2003. This is coffee your supporters will want to reorder, which is the whole point.

Are there tax or GST implications?

Selling coffee is trading income, which can be treated differently to donations. Every organisation's situation is different, so please check the treatment with your accountant. We keep the store and the reporting clean so that conversation is easy.
